The administration of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute held a working meeting with the delegation of the Association of Universities of Science and Technology in Europe CESAER. It was about the prospects of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute's membership in the association and particular steps towards this, as well as further plans with allowances made for Ukraine's acquisition of the status of a candidate for membership of the European Union.
"Despite the war that russia has unleashed against Ukraine, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is building plans for deepening integration into the European sphere of higher education and science. The educational model of universities that are part of the association corresponds to the educational model of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and its goals," Sergii Sydorenko, the Vice-Rector of International Relations of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, emphasized.
At the meeting, it was noted that joining EU projects and grants, as well as European research activities, is one of the main tasks the university is facing.
General Secretary of CESAER David Bomertom noted: Ukraine's acquisition of the status of a candidate for EU membership is a big step towards integration into the European community.
